What is the Deep water Soloing ?

The deep water soloing ( DWS) is a practice of rock climbing which is similar to the climbing in solo, without equipment (neither rope and harness). Contrary to the climbing in solo which contains major risks, the DWS contains it a lot much less. Indeed the fall is possible because this activity consists in climbing above the water!

Even if sometimes the height of fall can be dangerous, it belongs to the climber to judge his commitment and his control by a apprenticeship, in ways of difficulty and progressive height. The fall learns all as the self-control...Deep Water Soloing is for me the perfection, the free climbing because he allows to realize ways of a level max with a total freedom of movement...

This activity can be practice in France  during the summer in the Verdon and the Calanques of Marseille.
